High Notes in Glam Metal Part I

This is the first part of my videos featuring glam metal vocalists around the world! Most glam songs were really catchy and powerful, and some of the glam metal vocalists were really talented! During the beginning of nineties, hair metal started to get old and alternative rock music washed glam metal away with only few big glam metal bands continuing their career. Now, glam has been making it's return with humoristic groups like The Darkness and Steel Panther. Glam metal has always been a big part of my life. Glam metal has always been dominated by tenor voices, but some baritones also made themselves famous as glam vocalists. Now, let's take a look at the notes, which were hit during time when hair, guitar playing speed and high notes were important part of the music: 1. Low tenor Joe Elliott from Def Leppard hitting a streak of highs with the highest being F5, song is "Billy's Got a Gun". 2. Elliott again, this time hitting great F5 in "Love Bites". 3. Really great C#5s from added "Whole Lotta Love" section during Def Leppard's "Rocket" live at Sheffield in 1993. 4. Low baritone Axl Rose from Guns N' Roses hitting D#5 with great trills in "Welcome to the Jungle"! (Guns N' Roses aren't generally glam metal, but they fit the video's category well) 5. Intense C#5s from "Paradise City", these are really impressive notes (especially from a low baritone!) 6. "Sweet Child o' Mine" with great C#5s and a small touch into D#5! 7. Tenor powerhouse from Scorpions, Klaus Meine ...
